Chelsea is a small town about 15 miles from the city of Ann Arbor. Bursting with positive energy and excitement. With a population of 4,944; Chelsea is a great community to get involved with, there's always something to do. With great local shops and restaurants, Chelsea is a great combination of big city culture and small town charm.

Chelsea School District has been given a 9 out of 10 rating by greatschools.org. With a positive atmosphere and wonderful staff, Chelsea schools are a great place to enroll your children. This school district has also been ranked in the top 20 public schools in Michigan by Niche Review.

      Sure you've heard of Jeff Daniels! Playing majors rolls in films such as Because Of Winn-Dixie, RV, and Dumb and Dumber. Jeff is also the founder of The Purple Roe Theater where he performs on stage along with other local actors/actresses. Along with acting, sports are a big part of Chelsea. Growing up in Chelsea, Tony Scheffler was always involved with varsity sports. After playing football for Chelsea High School, Tony played college football, then moved on to the NFL where he played tight end for the Detroit Lions

Founded by the local actor, Jeff Daniels, this not-for-profit professional theater is great place to go when in Chelsea. Wanting to be more outdoors? Visit the Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center. Located in the Waterloo area, this discovery center is full of great facts and information about geology!
